A ranch house and an apartment ask different things of a crew, so we ask which yours is before we set the day.
At a house, the carry usually runs at ground level from the garage or carport straight to the truck in the driveway. At an apartment it can mean a breezeway, stairs or an elevator and a long walk across the lot, and stairs and long carries add labor to the price. Gate codes, parking and the floor number all help us send the right size crew.

A "trash-out" takes everything left behind, and we quote the whole unit or suite before we start.

A disconnected fridge, washer, dryer or range rides out with everything else, so it doesn't need a trip of its own. With about 9 inches of rain a year, an old washer or spare fridge can sit under a carport for ages before it goes. Have it unplugged and unhooked before the day; a refrigerator's coolant needs special handling, and we name that cost in the quote.

They did a thorough job in removing and emptying out an apartment; and a complete storage room the very next day~~ during a week we were in town because of a loved ones death. Curbside pickup costs least: you set the items outside yourself, so we spend no labor carrying them out of the house. Gathering everything in the garage or driveway and booking a weekday a few days ahead, rather than same-day or a weekend, trims the price further.
